Warehouse Manager
This role is for a highly experienced and strategic individual to oversee all operational aspects of a key distribution centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing efficiency, accuracy, and team performance within a dynamic warehouse environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER
Strategic Oversight: Direct and enhance all facets of product lifecycle within the distribution centre, from inbound logistics to outbound dispatch.
Daily Operations: Manage day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods efficiently. Optimize the centre’s layout to improve efficiency and productivity.
Inventory & Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems, including precise cycle counting and discrepancy resolution, to ensure data integrity and product availability. Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock levels and reducing discrepancies.
Process Optimization: Drive the evolution of operational workflows and procedures to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
Safety & Compliance: Champion a secure and organized work environment, ensuring strict adherence to all safety, health and regulatory standards.
Technology & Analytics: Leverage advanced warehouse management systems and data analytics to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational performance and drive cost reductions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and shipping. Partner seamlessly with internal departments, including BD & sales and client service, to guarantee superior order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Vendor & Supplier Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with external partners, negotiating favorable terms for logistics and materials.
Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Performance Reporting: Generate and present comprehensive reports on operational metrics and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
WHO YOU ARE
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within warehouse management, supply chain operations, or a closely related field. Expertise in inventory control and warehouse management systems.
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Proven track record of optimizing warehouse operations, improving workflow and achieving efficiencies
Strong analytical abilities to interpret data, identify opportunities and issues to make data-driven decisions
Adept at making quick, informed decisions. Strong problem-solving skills, be able to proactively address challenges such as delays, inventory discrepancies, or operational bottlenecks
Comprehensive understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to foster productive cross-functional relationships.
- Excellent MS Excel skills and proficiency with computer systems to effectively manage data, reporting, and warehouse management tools.
- Strong commitment to meeting customer expectations by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
