Strategic Sourcing Analyst
What You Will Deliver
- Vendor Identification and Evaluation:
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers in the logistics industry.
- Evaluate vendors based on predefined criteria such as capabilities, capacity, quality standards, financial stability, and track record.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and align vendor selection accordingly.
- Vendor Negotiation and Contracting:
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors, ensuring cost efficiency and value for the company.
- Establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and enforce vendor compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements, and quality standards.
- Vendor Performance Management:
- Define and implement vendor performance metrics and KPIs to assess vendor performance regularly.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews, addressing any issues or concerns, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with vendors to drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize service levels.
- Vendor Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with vendor relationships, such as financial instability, quality issues, or disruptions in the supply chain.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including contingency plans and alternative sourcing options.
- Market Analysis and Benchmarking:
- Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies related to logistics and vendor management.
- Conduct benchmarking exercises to compare vendor performance, pricing, and service quality against industry standards.
- Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, procurement, and finance teams, to understand their requirements and align vendor selection accordingly.
- Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams regarding vendor-related matters, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Who You Are
- Must be a Hindi speaking candidate. (Native Speaker)
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in vendor management, sourcing, or procurement within the logistics / supply chain / Procurement / Purchase department or functions.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, vendor evaluation methodologies, and negotiation strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with logistics platforms, software, and tools is preferred.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in RFQs, RFIs and E-Procurement Platforms will be an added advantage.
- Must be good in excel skills.
